DrivTrac Mini Login Instructions

 

  1. Go to the login page at www.drivtrac2.com:

 

 

  1. At this screen, enter your login and password, then press GO. ( You might need to update your internet browser, if so click on the link for either FIREFOX or IE7. Once you done that this is the screen you should see:

 

 

 

  1. This is your ACCOUNT CONSOLE.  From here you are in total control of you account and any other sub-accounts that you have under you. From this screen, on the left, you will see three tabs up top, which are MAIN, SUB-ACCTS, and DEVICES.

    1. MAIN tab

This feature allows you to see the billing side of your account. Also here you will find the refill exchanges, which are the locate credits. You can view your statement here also. If there is a bill due, you can also choose to pay it from this tab.

b.      SUB-ACCTS tab

From here and can create, view, and delete any accounts that you have made within your account.

c.       DEVICE tab

This feature allows you to see all the tracking system and their serial number. This tab also shows you the ownership to the device, which if its under a sub account and the services that tie into it.

     

4.      Below those three tabs is a ACCOUNT TOOLBAR tab

 

 

The ACCOUNT TOOLBAR pops out when it is clicked on. This feature allows you to have full access and control over your whole account and any sub-account under yours. It gives you the abilities add, edit or delete sub-accounts under the main login or under their own account that you activate for them. This tab also gives you the authority to pick and chose then assign certain security roles. From you also create, edit or delete logins designated to each account, including yours. In the ACCOUNT BILLING area, it shows you designated service plans that you can assign to each sub-account. If this feature applies to you, there will be a CUSTOMER BILLING tab. From here you can find your bank information so that customer can pay directly for their service or locate buckets.

 

5.      Now moving on to creating a sub account. There is a pattern you need to know:

CREATE SUB ACCOUNT > CREATE LOGIN > TRANSFER DEVICE(S) > ADD A PLAN > IMPERSONATE

     

 

1.      Click on the MAIN tab

2.      Then click on OPEN MY ACCOUNT TOOLBAR

3.      Find SUB-ACCOUNTS on there and then click on it, a new screen should pop open and at the top click on NEW

You will see this:

 

 

After you have selected that, you will see the NEW SUB-ACCOUNT screen. From here, enter a DESCRIPTION the best describes the account. Please be careful with assigning the proper ACCOUNT TYPE. If needed add comments for future references. Then click CREATE. Now that you have completed creating a sub-account, you need to create a login for it.

 

 

Now click the SUB-ACCOUNT tab, select the new SUB-ACCOUNT, and click on LOGIN. The screen on the right displays where you can give a screen name, password, security role, and other options can but applied. Once you have finish that click on the CREATE tab.

 

 

After all that is done, you must apply the proper SECURITY ROLES to the SUB-ACCOUNT you create. You can do this by highlighting the designated SUB-ACCOUNT then clicking on SECURITY ROLES. When you have done that, just click on NEW and this is what you see. Please if you are familiar with this then go ahead and assign the proper roles to the account. If not please contact your Dealer for help. Once this is completed click on UPDATE at the bottom.

 

 

Now you need to transfer whatever unit is designated for that SUB-ACCOUNT. To do that click on the DEVICE tab and then highlight the right unit and double-click on it. A DEVICE DESCRIPTION should pop up. Once you see that, click on the TRANSFER THIS DEVICE TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT. Once you click on that, you can transfer it to any account.

 

 

After you have found the proper unit and the right SUB-ACCOUNT to transfer it to, just go ahead and click TRANSFER.

 

Now you just have to double check the account plan for the account.

 

 

Now click on the SUB-ACCOUNT tab and highlight the SUB-ACCOUNT you just added the unit to it. Make sure the ACCOUNT TOOLBAR is opened. Click on the ACCOUNT PLANS link. Now a new window is open. Click on NEW.

 

 

There is a scroll down menu that you can select any SERVICE PLAN designated for that account. Once you have found it, go ahead and click on ASSIGN.

 

 

At this point, you are pretty much complete on making the account but just to double check everything you have just done. We actually added a feature that makes that extremely simple for you. You can actually IMPERSONATE that SUB-ACCOUNT. You can do this by clicking on the SUB-ACCOUNT tab, then highlight the right SUB-ACCOUNT, and then click on LOGIN. On the far right you will see the IMPERSONATE option. Click that and now check the SUB-ACCOUNT.
